Welcome back to Sanders Elementary School.

It is with honor and pride that I introduce myself as the new Sanders Elementary Principal. My name is Candice Hubbell. Welcome back to another exciting school year at Sanders Elementary School! It is with great enthusiasm and optimism that I extend my warmest greetings to each of you as we embark on this journey together for the academic year 2024-2025.

This is the start of my 10th year with SUSD. My career began here at SES as a 3rd grade teacher. After 7 years teaching at SES, I pursued to be a part of leadership. For the past two years, I enjoyed supporting teachers and students at VHS. Then last year, I chose to spend some time at SMS as a Social Studies teacher and finally was promoted to the Assistant Principal position. During this time, I had the pleasure of building relationships with SUSD staff, students, and families.

As we enter into this new school year, I encourage each student to approach their studies with dedication, curiosity, and a passion for learning. Our faculty and staff are committed to providing a supportive and enriching environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The student handbook serves as an essential guide to our school’s policies, procedures, and expectations. It outlines the principles that uphold our community standards and the values we cherish. I urge both students and parents to familiarize yourselves with its contents, as it will help ensure a smooth and successful school year for everyone.

To our returning students, welcome back! Your continued presence and contributions enrich our school community, and we look forward to witnessing your growth and achievements this year. We extend a heartfelt welcome to our new students and families joining us for the first time. We are excited to get to know you and support you as you settle into our school community.
